Lilac, pink and navy checked beach tote made from an upcycled Berber blanket
This lilac, pink and navy checked beach tote is made from a carefully selected vintage Berber blanket, which is cleaned and transformed into a bag. Its checked pattern and combination of soft and deep colours create a graphic, bright and genuinely unique piece.
Each blanket has already had a previous life. Its shades, woven details and small irregularities tell a story. Once transformed, the vintage textile becomes a distinctive tote, with no two pieces ever looking exactly alike.
A soft tote with flexible volume
Thanks to its soft textile construction, this large tote naturally adapts to its contents. It remains relatively compact when lightly packed and expands when filled with a beach towel, pouch, book, water bottle or other daily essentials.
It can be used as a beach tote, large summer bag, market bag or everyday shoulder bag. Its flexible shape changes according to what is placed inside, without the bulk of a rigid structured bag.
Easy to fold, pack and wash
The tote can be folded easily into a suitcase and takes up very little space while travelling. Once filled, it naturally regains its volume, making it particularly practical for holidays, weekends and short trips.
It is also machine washable at 30°C on a delicate cycle, making it ideal for beach use and regular everyday wear.
Inside, the tote is fully lined with colourful wax-print cotton and includes a zipped pocket for smaller personal items. The lining colours and pattern vary from one bag to another and cannot be selected.
A unique textile with its own story
The placement of the lilac, pink and navy checks may vary slightly depending on the section of blanket used. Small irregularities and colour variations are not defects; they reflect the history of the vintage textile and make each tote unique.
The silver glitter “My Summer Bag” message adds a bright, contemporary detail to the traditional woven fabric.
